This collection of Hybrid Sunflowers offers 3 different varieties in colors of red, yellow, orange and a mahagony coloring. Firecracker and Cherry Rose are multi-branching varieties that produce many blooms on one single plant. While Procut red is a tall 6 foot plant that produces a single stem. All 3 varieties are excellent for use as a cut flower in bouquets and floral arrangements. The flowers are categorized as annuals and will bloom through the Summer months and will later wilt with the cooler temperatures of Fall. Keep in mind that seeds collected from hybrids will not grow true to the host.
Keep in mind... like any hybrid, the varieties in this collection can appear a bit different than the images displayed above. Color variations and altered depth of color is a possibility.
procut red

Procut Red is a hybrid variety of Sunflower that produces pollen free flowers. This beautiful Sunflower displays deep red petals and dark brown centers. Each plant will stand to a mature height of only 4 to 6 feet tall. The stems may need support until maturity. Once established, they are very strong and will stand upright with no need for stakes or support. Helianthus annus is grown as an annual flowering plant that grows quickly, blooms profusely through the summer months and later dies with the first killing frost.

Firecracker is a hybrid variety of Sunflower that produces 4 to 5 inch, pollen free flowers. This beautiful Sunflower displays bi-colored blooms in yellow & orange and closely resembles the “Ring of Fire” Sunflower. Each plant will stand to a mature height of only 2 to 3 feet tall. The stems may need support until maturity. Once established, they are very strong and will stand upright with no need for stakes or support. Cherry Rose is a hybrid variety of Sunflower that produces blooms in a deep cherry to maroon coloring. The tips of each petal are almost a light peach, or salmon color. Each Sunflower plant will stand to a mature height of roughly 4 to 6 feet tall. The stems may need support until maturity. Once established, they are very strong and will stand straight. Helianthus annus is grown as an annual flowering plant that grows quickly, blooms profusely through the summer months and later dies with the first killing frost.
