Violas are a delightful plant for pots and containers and come in a multitude of colors. They are often grown indoors and are later transplanted when the danger of frost has passed. Their flowers open up to expose little faces, which can be detailed with a number of secondary colors. They attract all sorts of butterflies and bumblebees.
Violas are not only the perfect choice for pots and containers though, they can also be used in window boxes, or directly in the garden too. Their short growth habit allows them to be placed at the front of the garden for the best viewing. Violas prefer partial shade to full sunlight depending on your region.
