Zinnias seem to have have climbed their way to the top of almost gardeners list, as the most popular cut flower in the world. But would you believe it if we told you that at one time they were seen as the ugliest flower discovered? When the Spanish first came across the Zinnia, they named it "mal de ojos," which simply translates to "Sickness of the eye".
Zinnias make an excellent cut flower and add red, orange, yellow, green, purple, pink, white and bi-colored flowers to the garden.
