GROWER TIP: Cosmos are best established directly outdoors. The seed can be scattered to the surface of the soil and lightly covered. The plants typically grow over 3 feet so they are best planted along fences, in the background, or in a naturalized setting. Cosmos become rather drought tolerant as they grow taller and require a minimum temperature of at least 65F. Fairly deer resistant.
