Grow a garden filled with Mixed English Daisy flowers, from freshly harvested Bellis perennis flower seeds. English Daisy Mixture will produce a sea of colorful, single, semi-double and double blooms. Each flower head will display tightly packed petals in three different color tones. Their petals come in colors of red, pink & white, accented with a golden-yellow center. The English Daisy plants will grow to a mature height of only 4 to 6 inches tall, making them an excellent choice as a ground cover plant. These beauties are also known to attract an array of beneficial insects to the garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees & honeybees as well.
Mixed English Daisy is categorized as an perennial flowering plant, meaning that these plants will establish a deep root system in the first growing season. The plant life will wilt on the surface, during the cold months of late Autumn & Winter. New, fresh plant life will then reemerge the following growing season, when temperatures are warm enough to sustain plant life. English Daisy plants are also known to reseed & establish completely new plants the following year.
Grow English Daisy Mixture in flower beds, raised beds or in pots & containers. They also look great when sown along driveways, walkways, fences and other borders. The plants can be sown by the masses in a naturalized setting as a ground cover, or sown around pavers and stepping stones as well. Sow English Daisy with a number of additional, low growing plants as well for a dramatic color explosion.

English Daisy seeds are rather small, so it is recommended that you sow them on a calm day. The seeds are best established directly outdoors, when the weather is warm and all danger of frost has passed. Begin by clearing your sowing area of all unwanted plant life & weeds. Scatter the small, brown seeds directly to the surface of the soil. Do not cover the seeds as they will require direct light to germinate properly.
English Daisy can also be started indoors, 6 to 8 weeks prior to the last frost. We recommend using peat pots for easier transplanting, as you can directly transplant the entire pot into the garden.

English Daisy will thrive an an area that receives full sunlight to partial shade. They require temperatures of at least 70F for optimal growth and a sowing medium that is neutral. Any regular potting mix can work, however you need to make sure that the area is well drained. To increase your drainage, we recommend adding a light compost to any areas that consist of hard, compact soil. Water the seeds daily, with a mist setting, until germination has occurred.

Your seeds will begin to sprout within roughly 7 to 14 days after sowing. The plants will reach a mature height of only 4 to 6 inches tall and can be spaced about 4 to 6 inches apart from one another. Mixed English Daisy looks best when sown by the masses. They can be used to create a sea of beautiful white, pink & red flowers, in flower beds, along borders, in pots & containers, or even in a naturalized setting as well.
